Welcome!
Middle School mathematics again has many interesting programs planned for the coming year. All middle school students will be participating in Sports Connections every other Monday. In this program, mentors from the Actuarial Foundation will assist us in exploring mathematical concepts through sports and technology. Sixth graders will also be visiting Junior Achievement's Exchange City after an exciting unit dealing with managing a company, running a city and learning many economic concepts such as balancing a checkbook. Seventh and eighth graders will learn about ecomonics through the ten-week Stock Market Simulation.
We will have a Math Family Night in November and a Math Fair second semester. Our classes will be filled with fun experiences that hopefully will create a love of mathematics in our students.
